Tina spent most of her early life in the Toronto area. Prior to starting her policing career, Tina completed a Bachelor of Arts (Finance) at the University of Western Ontario, while competing as a member of the Varsity Basketball Team and the Varsity Soccer Team. She began her policing career with the Toronto Police Service in 1996 before transferring to the Guelph Police Service in 2001. After working in uniform patrol for 5 years with Guelph, she became a Detective Constable in the Fraud Unit where she spent 5 years investigating financial crimes. During that time, she specialized in completing search warrants for her fraud cases as well as for other major case investigations. Tina was promoted to Sergeant in 2012 and transferred to the Sexual Assault Child Abuse Unit/Internet Exploitation Unit. In 2014, Tina transferred to oversee the Major Crime Unit until the end of 2016. In 2017, Tina returned to front-line patrol as a uniform road supervisor for 2 years. After a 1-year secondment to a large mortgage fraud, Tina was promoted to Staff Sergeant and returned to uniform patrol to manage a platoon for 2 years. Tina then moved to manage the 911 Communication Centre for just over 3 years. At the beginning of 2025, she started her current position as the Staff Sergeant in charge of the Professional Development and Recruiting Unit. Tina enjoys keeping mentally and physically fit by playing various sports, travelling and spending time with friends and family.

Kevin has 29 years of policing experience. Kevin began his policing career in 1995 and has worked for the Sault Ste Marie and Orangeville Police Services. Kevin transferred to the Guelph Police Service in 2001 and worked in uniform patrol for four years. He was transferred to the Investigative Services Youth Crime Unit for one year, and then Persons Crime Unit (Now Major Crime) for seven years. Kevin was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2012, assigned to Uniform Patrol for one year, and then Investigative Services and oversaw the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit (now Intimate Partner Violence Unit) and the Internet Child Exploitation Unit for three years. Kevin was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and returned to uniform patrol for four years. He is currently the Staff Sergeant in charge of the Professional Development and Recruiting Unit for the past four years. Kevin attended Sault College and obtained a two-year diploma in the Law and Security (Now Police Foundations) program prior to becoming a police officer.

Book a practice Shuttle Run

This is an opportunity to practice the Leger 20m Shuttle Run (also known as the "Beep Test"); the fitness test used to determine suitability for the Police Constable position. Use this practice session to ensure you are ready to apply to the Guelph Police Service and be your competitive best.   beep test practice

 When applying to the Guelph Police Service, if invited into the process this test is the first stage of the process. The applicant will perform the Leger 20m Shuttle Run (also known as the "Beep Test") and must achieve a level 7.0 to pass. 

This Shuttle Run is also the second part of the PREP (Physical Readiness Evaluation for Police) that police recruit constables undergo at the Ontario Police College. Successful completion of the PREP at the Ontario Police College is a requirement to achieve the Basic Constable Training Certificate that allows recruits to become Sworn Police Officers in Ontario. 

These sessions are limited to four (4) people per time slot. Preference will be given to those who have not attended previously. If you have previously attended, you may receive an email cancelling your spot. 

Recruiters may be on site and available to speak with during your practice session.
