Golf tournament raises $27,300 for Hospice

The Guelph Police Association (GPA) is pleased to announce the organization has donated the proceeds from the 42nd Annual Norma Owen Memorial Golf Tournament that took place on September 4, 2024 at Guelph Lakes Golf and Country Club. The event was sold out and raised $27,300 for Hospice Wellington. The funds will be used to help support Hospice Wellington's end-of-life service and supportive programming for families across Wellington County.
The GPA thanks all the golfers, volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, community members and Guelph Lakes Golf and Country Club for such a successful event.
This golf tournament is in memory of Constable Norma Owen, who was a member of the Guelph Police Service and succumbed to cancer in 1983. This golf tournament has been held since 1983, and the proceeds from these events have been donated to various cancer related charities in our community. The GPA has donated $533,065 to date!
