Vehicle taken from residence
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after a motor vehicle was taken from the driveway of an east-end residence.
It was reported to police that sometime over the evening of Tuesday, May 21, 2024, into the morning of Wednesday, May 22, 2024, a 2017 white Dodge Journey was taken from the residence driveway.
The motor vehicle is described as completely stock, with no distinguishable features.

Male caught breaking into vehicle
A 30-year-old Guelph man was arrested when found going through vehicles in an east-end neighbourhood.
Just after 1:30 a.m. on Thursday morning, police were called to the area of Alma Street South and Inkerman Street for reports of a male going through vehicles. Shortly after police arrived on scene and located the male in the passenger seat of a parked vehicle.
The male was arrested and charged with two counts of theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property under $5,000 and two counts of failure to comply with release order. The male was transported to the Guelph Police Station and where he was held for a bail hearing.
Male arrested for Amazon theft
A Guelph man was arrested for stealing an Amazon package from the lobby of a south-end apartment building.
On Wednesday morning, police were called to investigate the theft of an Amazon delivery. Police were advised the delivery contained a bathmat along with a bath heater. It was reported that the theft had occurred on Friday, May 17, 2024.
Police were able to review onsite video surveillance and were able to identify the responsible male party due to previous police involvement with the male.
Shortly after police were able to locate the responsible the 46-year-old male, who was arrested on one count of theft under $5,000. He will appear in court on June 19th.
