Vehicles possibly shot with pellets
The Guelph Police Service is appealing to witnesses and potential victims after two vehicles were apparently shot with pellet guns Thursday evening.
Approximately 7:40 p.m. police were called to the area of Downey Road and Teal Drive. A male advised he was driving into Guelph when he heard a loud bang on the passenger side of his vehicle. Police observed a small dent consistent with a pellet from an air gun.
While officers were on scene they were approached by a nearby resident advising her vehicle was also struck while she was driving. Her vehicle had similar damage. The total damage is estimated at $500. The area was checked with negative results.

Cash stolen during business break-in
The Guelph Police Service is investigating after cash was stolen from a south-end business Thursday night.
Just after 10 p.m. officers were dispatched to a business on Stone Road West. A male used a rock to smash the front door and stole a quantity of cash from a drawer. The male was described as having a medium build and wearing a grey Ecko sweatshirt, dark blue pants, black gloves and a blue face mask.

Police station damaged, male arrested
A Cambridge male faces charges after damaging a telephone and window at the Guelph Police station Thursday.
Just before 10 a.m. the male was in custody after being arrested for charges including assault and breaching probation. He was placed in a room to have a telephone conversation with a Duty Counsel lawyer.
A short time later the male was heard screaming, then tore the phone off the wall and used it to smash a window on the interview room door.
A 41-year-old Cambridge male faces two additional counts of mischief under $5,000. He was held for a bail hearing Monday.
Stunt driving charge laid
A Guelph female lost her licence and vehicle after she was caught driving nearly twice the speed limit Thursday morning.
Just before 11 a.m., a member of the Guelph Police Service Traffic Unit was conducting speed enforcement on Speedvale Avenue West near Elmira Road North. He clocked an eastbound vehicle travelling 118 km/h in a posted 60 km/h zone.
A 53-year-old Guelph female was charged with speeding and stunt driving. Her driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days and her vehicle impounded for 14 days.
